Create a photobook tips and advice -

It is now possible to be the author of your own book via numerous internet based companies with websites allowing you to upload your photos to their computer to enable them to print and manufacture a book.

You don't have to concern yourself about special software etc as uploading your photos, choosing the type of book, the number of pages and even the page layout can be carried out on the website. You can of course just upload your images as they are, however if you want to get the best quality it does pay to be a little organised, so go to the folder where your photos are stored and create a new folder called book photos, browse through your photos and copy those to go in the book to your new book photos folder. Check these photos for quality, are they adjusted for brightness, contrast and sharpness? Do they need cropping ? Try to imagine which photos will appear on the same pages of your book and choose photos that go together , for example you may not want


Once your photos are ready choose your book suppliers website and off you go.

All websites that need financial information for payment will ask you to login which means filling in a form with name address etc, I shouldn't worry too much about this as the powers that be have access to far more more information about you than this. You will need to set aside some time to first upload your photos which may take an hour, but you don't have to be sat in front of the screen, you can be getting on with something else, but laying out your pages is a little more time consuming.
